UNIT – III INDIAN FINANCIAL MARKET
Banking System, Insurance Industry and Securities Market
UNIT – IV FISCAL AND MONETARY POLICIES
Indian Public Finance, Tax Structure in India RBI and monetary policies
UNIT – V CONTEMPORARY ISSUES
COVID-19 and Indian Economy, Universal Healthcare, Demonetization, Universal Basic Income, Farm indebtedness and Agripolicy.
Latest Economic Survey and Union Budget.

Course Objectives

  • To critically understand modern India's economic growth trajectory, economic policies, and institutional reforms.
  • To have an in-depth analysis of the sectoral contributions of India's agriculture, industry, and service sectors.
  • To recognize the significant economic challenges and opportunities with the Indian Financial system.
  • To be acquainted with the contemporary socio-economic issues and a thorough reading of the recent economic survey and budget discussion.

Course Outcomes
