Odia is a low-resource language with very less work in the field of Natual Language Processing, with minimal work for semantic analysis and no work in the area of semantic role labeling. The goal of this research is to build a semantic role labeler for Odia language using Odia Propbank and using a language model. This research also aim to build a PropBank for the Odia language and semantic role labeler that will be used to perform different semantic analysis tasks like Machine Translation, Information Retrieval, Language Understanding, Role labeling etc and it can be further used for different language specific applications.
