Module 9 Balance of System (BoS) (4hr)

Course Objectives

  • • Understand the ecosystem of Solar PV technology
  • • Understand the physics / basic principle of working of various components of Solar PV system
  • • Understand the complete process of fabrication and manufacturing of Solar Cell and module
  • • Analyze and design the system as per requirements

Course Outcomes

1. Calculate solar radiation, semiconductor parameters, cell/ module parameters,
2. Understand the electrical system working of PV system
3. Design a simple solar PV system and evaluate economic viability
4. Understand the solar cell technologies, balance of system components
5. Understand the dependency of economics and engineering
