Syllabus

Cell and Cell theory, Ultrastructure of the prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell, Cellular organelles, Plasma membrane, Chromosome and Chromosomal organisation, Central Dogma, Gene Regulation, Cell cycle, Cell division, Programmed Cell Death, Cellular Communication and Signalling.

Course Objectives

  • To understand basic structure of cell and cellular organelles.
  • Learning biophysical and biochemical process in cell.
  • To know central dogma and molecular basic of life.
  • To study cell cell division and cell death and physiological significance.

Course Outcomes

Students will be learn cellular organelles and explain their functions, the differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells in detail, the central dogma of cell and cellular communication processes.
