Modern techniques: Application of Numerical Modeling Techniques to Control Ground Problems of Complex Deposits, Use of Modern Instruments for Strata Control of deep seated deposits,
In-situ Gasification and Mineral Biotechnology for Complex Coal Deposits.

Course Objectives

  • To understand modern exploration techniques to identify coal deposit at higher depth of cover
  • To understand issues and challanges during extraction of coal at higher depth of cover including ground control techniques
  • To understand strata mechanics involved during mining activities at higher depth of cover through numerical modelling tools
  • To understand application of modern geo-technical instruments for strata movement study for safe and efficient extraction of coal from higher depth of cover
