Course Objectives
- To identify hazards in opencast and underground mines
- To understand the different qualitative and quantitative approaches to mine safety
- To know accident statistics and analysis and investigations and reporting after mine disasters
- case studies on safety risk assessment and management in mines
Course Outcomes
The students will be able to apply different risk assessment approaches for mining applications and assess and evaluate risk and adopt approaches for risk reduction and minimization
