Syllabus

Module 1 :

1. Introduction to computer programming via few numerical techniques. (2 weeks)
2. Basic unsupervised and supervised artificial neural networks and program implementation for classification ®ression (4 weeks)
3. Fuzzy inference system concept and writing programs for fuzzification using various membership functions (3 weeks)
4. Non-conventional optimization using genetic algorithms and simulated annealing (3 weeks)

To know the practical implementation of neural network and fuzzy logic systems

To gain the idea of implementation of optimization techniques via programming

CO1: To acquaint with the soft computing concepts in comparison with hard computing programs
CO2: To apply the neural network programs for classification and regression
CO3: To know the fuzzy logic concepts computationally using memberships and rules
CO4: To adopt the toolboxes for development of optimization modules.
CO5: To develop the programming skills for generalized applications.
