To find out causes of surface damage of engineering components in workplaces |

To measure adhesion strength, deposition efficiency and other characteristics of coatings |

To evaluate wear rate of materials under adhesive, abrasive and erosive condition |

To analyze and compare the utility of surface modification techniques for specific applications |
