Syllabus
Printed antennas: Introduction, Different types of printed radiating elements, Field analysis methods, Input impedance, bandwidth and radiation pattern, Low profile, wideband or multiband antennas for mobile communications and short-range applications. Arrays : pattern synthesis, planar arrays, phased arrays. Diffraction theory :paraboloidal reflector antenna, different feed configurations, shaped beam antennas. Millimeter wave antennas. Dielectric rod, lens, Fresnel zone antenna, quasi-optical antennas. Signal processing antennas. Synthetic antennas in radar and sonar, Imaging of coherent sources, Imaging of incoherent sources, High resolution imagery and the maximum entropy method, Other methods of spectral estimation, Spatial filtering .Antennas for different applications application.

- To understand the foundation and working for advanced antenna systems applicable to wireless communication
- To analyze the modern printed antenna arrays.
