Syllabus

Module 1 :

MODULE I: 9 HOURS
Experiment 1. (a) Determination of pH of given water and wastewater and (b) Determination of turbidity by using a nephelometer for the water sample
Experiment 2. (a) Determination of alkalinity and acidity of water and wastewater and (b) Total Hardness of given water and wastewater
Experiment 3. Optimum dose of coagulants by jar test

MODULE II: 9 HOURS
Experiment 4. Identify and quantify various solids present in the water sample
Experiment 5. (a) Quantify the residual chlorine present in the water sample and (b) Determine the chloride present in the water sample
Experiment 6. Determine the Biochemical Oxygen Demand of the water and wastewater sample

MODULE III: 12 HOURS
Experiment 7. Determine the Dissolved Oxygen level of the water sample using Wtinkler's method
Experiment 8. (a) Identify the Respirable Particulate Matter (PM10) concentration of present air quality, (b) Determine the Total Suspended Particulate matter (TSP) present in the air sample, and (c) Indoor and ambient noise level analysis
Experiment 9. (a) Determination of SO2 in indoor air and (b) Determination of NH3 in indoor
Experiment 10. (a) Microbiological culture analysis of bacterial samples and (b) Perform the MPN Test for the given water sample
