Syllabus

Industrial scenario Industrial waste survey Toxicity of industrial effluents Preventing and minimizing wastes at the source Individual and Common Effluent Treatment Plants.
Industrial wastewater treatment Advanced wastewater treatment with reuse techniques Residual management.
Mass transport of solutes, degradation of organic compounds, application of concepts to predict groundwater contaminant movement.
Computer Models: Exposure to computer models for surface water quality, groundwater quality and air quality for industrial effluent management.

Course Objectives

  • To focus on management of industrial processes and plants.
  • The basic understanding of methods available for controlling pollutants emitted from industrial effluents
  • Toxicity nature of industrial effluents

Course Outcomes

1) Get an insight into the pollution scenario and methods to manage and control <br />2) Identify environmental treatment methods for sustainable management <br />3) Capable of handling environmental issues for industries
