A. Triangulation & Traversing:
1. Chain triangulation
2. Compass traversing
3. Plane table traversing
4. Theodolite traversing.
B. Levelling (using Auto Level):
5. Differential leveling
6. Profile levelling
7. Contouring
C. Survey using Total Station:
8. Introduction, Coding, Recording of field data.
9. Transfer of data to computer, Plotting, and calculation using data from memory file.
10. Topographical surveying.
D. Layout (By Total Station):
11. Building layout
12. Curve (simple, reverse, and compound) layout
Course Objectives
- Understanding of fundamentals of surveying
- Usage of surveying instruments
- Design and provision of horizontal and vertical control survey networks
- Calculation, reduction and plotting of survey data for use in engineering design.
Course Outcomes
