MODULE 1: Energy Management & Audit: Definition, Energy Audit, Need, Types of Energy Audit. Energy Management (Audit) Approach-Understanding Energy Costs, Bench Marking, Energy Performance, Matching Energy Use to Requirement, Maximizing System Efficiencies, Optimizing the Input Energy Requirements, Fuel and Energy Substitution, Energy Conservation Methods Evaluation and Measurement Techniques. (10 Hrs)

Students will be acquainted with the basic principles of energy conservation and management and the instrumentation systems used for that purposes. |

Outline the principles and objectives of energy management and illustrate the techniques, procedures, evaluation and energy audit reporting. |

To elaborate the concept of measuring instruments for energy auditing and to explain the data acquisition process in energy auditing. |
4 . |
To design, analyze and evaluate an energy audit and the benefits of different energy management techniques used in the field of instrumentation |
