Syllabus
Application of finite difference and finite element based software for analysis including case studies of (i) Shallow and Deep Foundation system subject to static and dynamic load, (ii) Stability of natural slopes, embankments and retaining structures using reinforcement, nailing, piles etc., (iii) Stability analysis of waste containment system, (iv) Rock excavation and tunneling, (v) Foundation system for bridges and offshore structures
