Course Objectives
- Acquainted with basic concepts of benefits and cost components of Transportation Economic analysis principles
- Familiar with life cycle and different economic evaluation methods of transportation infrastructures
- Acquainted with utility, road user cost, congestion cost and fund raising principles
- Acquainted with issues in transportation infrastructure reforms and participation of different parties in fund raising
Course Outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to <br />CO 1: Quantify benefits and costs of transport projects and carry out economic analysis. <br />CO 2: Estimate the life cycle cost of transport projects. <br />CO 3: Evaluate transport projects. <br />CO4: Appraise various financial models for the development of transport infrastructure.
