Syllabus

Critical overview of the complex interrelation between different components of immune system, T regulatory cells, ?d T cells and B cells, Tissue specific regulation of dendritic cell development and function, Cytokine and chemokines, Role of G protein couple receptors in immuno-reaction and immunoregulation, antiviral immunity, immunology of stem cells, tumor immunology, single cell sorting and characterization, multiplex bead array, MACS, Biacore technology, tetramer technology, recombinant antibody, Xenomouse technology, immune system in chip, bone marrow transplantation, cancer vaccine.

Course Objectives

  • To aware the students about the latest concepts and techniques that are used in immuno diagnostics and therapy.
  • To provide the concept essential for designing new immune techniques.

Course Outcomes

After completing the course, the student will be able <br />(i) to understand and contribute to the present days research in immunology and immunotechnology. <br />(ii) to design immune assay as per the requirement.
