Syllabus

Introduction to computational simulation and analysis software, Introduction to parametric and non-parametric models using linear and differential equations, Viscoelastic models, Geometric modelling, Spectral analysis, Compartment models, Pharmacokinetic modelling, Transdermal delivery models, Transient thermal analysis, Modelling and simulation of - pressure-volume relations in circulatory system, Aortic flow, Interaction between contractile proteins, Molecular structures and their dynamic behaviour, Simulation techniques used in molecular docking, Simulation of bone adaptation and fracture healing

Course Objectives

  • To gain knowledge of the theoretical and practical concepts in modelling and simulation of biomedical processes

Course Outcomes

At the end of the course, the student will be able to: <br />1. Develop geometric model of various biomedical objects <br />2. Understand the fundamentals of modelling and simulation of biomedical processes
