Syllabus
Peripheral blood smear preparation and analysis for WBC morphology, Isolation of serum from blood and heat inactivation, Agglutination assay, Immunoprecipitation assay, In vitro assay of macrophage activation by bacterial polysaccharide, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA (Sandwich ELISA and Competitive ELISA), Western blot, Flow cytometry, Immunodiffusion, immunoelectrophoresis.
Course Objectives
- To provide hands-on training on immuno assay and related techniques
- To empower the students for immune status quantification.
Course Outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to <br />1. Perform different immuno assays that are used in clinical diagnostics <br />2. Perform immune assay techniques for research. <br />3. Design immuno assay as per the requirement <br />4. Operate advanced equipment i.e. FACS and Automated Microplate Reader <br />5. Perform immune assays as per good lab practice (GLP)
