Syllabus
Finite difference analysis software: Modelling for plain strain problems of footings, retaining walls and slope, seepage analysis and consolidation settlement. Finite Element Analysis Software: Modelling for plain strain problems of footings, retaining walls and slope, seepage analysis and consolidation settlement. Statistical modeling.

Course Outcomes
1. learn finite difference element software to model different plain strain problems. <br />2. Application of finite difference software to model and design plain strain problems of footing and retainning walls. <br />3. Analyse the statistical model for seepage condition and consolidation settlement of the plain strain problems.
