Syllabus
Experiments related to Physico-chemical analysis of water pollutants, Estimation of faecal indicator bacteria in the waste water, Measurement of ambient concentrations of gases and particulate matter by using High Volume Sampler, Particulate emission control through cyclone separator, Aerobic treatment of waste water, Characterization and thickening of waste sludge, Electro-chemical treatment of waste water, Adsorption of liquid pollutants using adsorbents.
Course Objectives
- This course introduces sampling techniques and analytical methods for determining <br />contaminant levels.
- Students will learn and practice many methods to be able to collect samples in <br />their research and in their professions. Emphasis on quality control, including documentation, <br />calibration, and sample management, will ensure that students can fully defend their data and can <br />base good decisions on their measurements.
Course Outcomes
1. This course would help the students to analyze the experimental data and interpret the results. <br />2. It equip them with various instruments for measurement of Pollutants <br />3. It would groom the students to understand the process used for treatment of environmental pollutants <br />4. It would help them to select a suitable method to treat the pollutants in the environment
