Syllabus
Experiments to be performed on:-
1. Process-to-process communication
2. Client-server paradign implementation
3. Inter and intra network routing
4. Development of E-mail system model based on S/MIME
5. Eavesdropping attacks and its prevention using SSH
6. Authentication and verification of messages/entities.
7. Active and passive fingerprinting.
Course Objectives
- Implement cryptography and security protocols as solutions to network and inter-networking security issues.
- Develop inter-networking applications including client-server systems, routing models, email systems.
Course Outcomes
At the end of this laboratory course, the students will have hands-on expertise to develop any present-day network application while overcoming the major security threats pertaining to those.
