3. Fold and its geometry related problems
4. Fault, off sets and net slip related problems
5. Earthquake focal mechanisms
6. Stereographic problems
7. Interpretation of structural maps

Course Objectives

  • Provide practical ideas to the students about the deformation of Earth's crust.
  • To understand how to plot axial trace of the fault fold and joints using Steronet.
  • To understand how to interpret the different structures in the structural maps
  • To understand how to plot focal mechanisms of earthquakes.

Course Outcomes

Expertise students regarding the practical approach to solve problems associated with deformation structures.
