Syllabus
Signal Processing in Digital Control, Models of Digital Control Devices and Systems, z Transform. z Plane Analysis of Discrete-Time Systems. Stability of discrete systems: location of poles, Jury's stability criterion, stability analysis through bilinear transforms, state-space description, solution of state-space, Lyapunov stability analysis. Design of Digital Controller: Pole Placement and observer design, Linear Quadratic Optimal Control, Polynomial equation approach.

- Overview of digital control systems and their applications
- Advantages and disadvantages compared to analog control
- To design, and analyze the dynamical systems in the discrete domain
- Implementation of a digital controller
