Experiment 1 – Sort a Row Matrix using the Bubble Sort Technique
Experiment 2 – Using the polyval and polyfit Functions Fit an nth Order Polynomial Through a Given Set of Points
Experiment 3 – Draw a Helix using its Parametric Equation
Experiment 4 –Animate the Motion of a Bead in a Circular Path
Experiment 5 –Draw the Contour of a Function
Experiment 6 –Model a Damped Mass-Spring System using Simulink
Course Objectives
- To understand the basic principles of modelling and simulation and basic approaches and techniques of modelling and simulation
- To solve examples of metallurgical and materials processes and give in-class demonstration of modelling software
Course Outcomes
1. To learn modeling and simulation in materials science and have hands-on experience with modeling software in the computer lab. Build models of systems related to Metallurgical and Materials Science and Engineering processes, Students will know how to model and simulate processes. <br />2. To get acquainted to a software to apply numerical analysis techniques to real problems we face in day-to-day life. <br />3. To learn statistical techniques and apply to them to Metallurgical and Material Science and Engineering Problems. <br />4. To learn image processing and animation techniques and apply them to Metallurgical and Material Science and Engineering Problems. <br />5. To know how to represent data in various manners and to draw conclusions from them. <br />6. To write programs to solve Metallurgical and Material Science and Engineering Problems.
