Course Details

Subject {L-T-P / C} : EC4714 : DSP Processor Laboratory { 0-0-2 / 1}

Subject Nature : Practical

Syllabus

1. Familiarization with TMS320c6713 processor.
2. Implementation of various transforms and their inverses: DFT, FFT, DCT.
3. Implementation of overlap-save based linear convolution in time and DFT domains
4. Write a code for generating a sine wave signal of 1kHz frequency and show it using a DSO.
5. Implementation of audio loop back project using TMS320C6713.
6. Write a code for generating an echo signal having a delay of 1s and gain degradation of 20dB.
7. Implementation of impulse response using TMS320C6713 .
8. Implementation of low pass and high pass FIR filter using windowing technique.
9. Mini Project.

Course Objectives

  • To familiarize the students with TMS processors and develop different algorithms.

Course Outcomes

1. This course develops expertise and insight into the development of DSP processor solutions to practical engineering problems through hands-on experience. <br />2. Structured exercises using DSP hardware are provided and used by the student to gain practical experience with basic DSP theory and operations. <br />3. Able to design FIR and IIR filters using DSP processors.
