Subject Nature : Practical

Coordinator : Prof. Poonam Singh

Syllabus

1. Study and design of AM modulator and demodulator (Full AM, SSB, DSBSC, SSBSC) using the Amplitude Modulator kit.
2. Generation of a carrier signal and a modulating signal using MATLAB, modulation of the carrier using amplitude modulation. Show the modulated waveform in time domain and analyze its frequency spectrum. Repeat the simulation for modulating signal being square, triangular and other forms of waveform.
3. Study of FM Modulation and Demodulation Techniques using Frequency Modulator kit.
4. Generation of a carrier signal and a modulating signal using MATLAB. Modulation of the carrier using FM. Analysis of the signal in time and frequency domain. Repeat the simulation for modulating signal being square, triangular and other forms of waveform.
5. Study of Pulse Amplitude Modulation and Time Division Multiplexing using PAM Modulation kit.
6. Generation of a PAM signal using MATLAB, and its analysis for different sampling frequencies in time and frequency domain.
7. Study of Pulse Code Modulation and Demodulation using PCM Modulation kit.
8. Generation of a PCM signal using MATLAB, and its analysis in time and frequency domain.
