1. Introduction to matlab software interfaces and different tools
2. Variables and expressions
3. Vectors, Matrices, Multiple vector plots
4. Command and Scripts, Managing Data files, Developing functions
5. Logic and flow control
6. Data analysis of experimental data of ceramic characterization
7. Creation and simulation of models for ceramic processing
8. Programming for a modeling of ceramic process control
9. Modeling discrete and continuous system
10. Solver Selection
11. Modeling Conditionally Executed algorithms and combining models and diagrams
12. Creating libraries

Course Objectives

  • 1. The course will provide basic knowledge of solving linear algebra, and differential equations (ODE and PDE)
  • 2. The course will provide training for solving different problems in mathematical calculation, design, analysis, and optimization
  • 3. The course will provide training for setting up mathematical models for mechanical, thermodynamical, and electromechanical systems

Course Outcomes

Upon completing this course, the students will be able to <br />1. Use the MATLAB for solving different mechanical, thermodynamical problems in the field ceramic and material science and engineering <br />2. Analyze and intercept different data for ceramic industries <br />3. Perform modeling and design of different processes related to ceramic industries
