Syllabus

Characterization of particulate solids: shape, size, size distribution Theoretical background of comminution crushing and grinding equipment milling operation, milling practice and milling efficiency sieving bulk storage and bin storage, transport of materials within plant mixing mechanism and mixing equipment classification basics and different classifiers filtration theory, filtration equipment.

Course Objectives

  • To get familiarized with the industrial ceramic processing stages. Employment of a particular equipment for a specific purpose is to be learnt. The importance of the design parameters pertain to appropriate equipment is discussed.
  • Assignments and problems are set so that one is prepared well to solve the industrial problems.
  • One should understand the cost effective and environment friendly operations to any industrial production
  • One should be able to contribute his technical knowledge by the engagement of a teamwork.

To prepare oneself for Handling Material and to be able to manage resources judiciously.
