BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Koteswara Rao Kodirekkala is an Assistant Professor (Anthropology) in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Odisha, India. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Anthropology from the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. Then he worked as Postdoctoral researcher at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, Punjab, and as Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Post-Doctoral Fellow and an Assistant Professor at the University of Hyderabad. He also worked as Senior Research Fellow for the High Level Committee on the status of tribal communities of India, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India and as Guest Faculty at the University of Hyderabad and Pondicherry University. His research interests include indigenous knowledge, traditional agricultural knowledge, agricultural biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, neglected millets, adaptation to climate change, tribal and rural studies, displacement and rehabilitation, etc. He has published articles in international journals of repute such as Culture, Agriculture, Food and Environment Climatic Change Journal of Anthropological Research Journal of Asian and African Studies, Asian Anthropology, Economic and Political Weekly, etc.
