BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Sougata Kumar Kar received B.Tech. degree in Instrumentation Engineering from Haldia Institute of Technology in 2000, M.Tech. degree in Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2006 and Ph.D. degree from IIT Kharagpur in 2013. He joined NIT Silchar as an Assistant Professor in the Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering Department in 2014. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the department EEE, NTU, Singapore for one year. Then he joined Electronics and Communication Engineering department, NIT Rourkela in 2015 and now working as an Associate Professor. Dr. Kar has published 15 journal papers in reputed international journals. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement. His research interests include analog IC design, instrumentation, sensor interfacing circuits, MEMS capacitive sensors, accelerometers, low power biomedical and neuromorphic circuits.
