BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Alok Ranjan joined the Department of Chemical Engineering, at NIT Rourkela in July 2024. Prior to this, he completed his PhD from IIT Roorkee under the supervision of Dr. Prateek Kumar Jha in the field of drug delivery systems. Where he has explored the dissolution apparatus and controlled release formulation by using experiments, modeling, and multiphysics simulation. He has worked as a research associate at NIPER Guwahati, where his research area was to establishment, scale-up, and optimization of the herbal extraction process. He has also worked at IOCL, R & D, Faridabad for around one year while pursuing an M.Tech in chemical engineering with a specialization in process design engineering from UPES Dehradun, where he has explored the de-asphalting of vacuum residue with the help of pilot plant experiment setup and simulation. He invites the B.Tech, M.Tech, and PhD students on a never-ending quest of research to find something for themself and society while discussing and initiating future research ideas.
