Anurag Sharma received his B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, in the year 2010. He completed his M.Tech. in Civil Engineering (2013-2015) and Ph.D in Civil Engineering (2015-2018), both from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India. Presently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at NIT Rourkela. Before that, he was a Post Doc Research Fellow in the Department of Hydraulic Engineering at Tsinghua University, China. He also worked as an Assistant Professor (TEQIP-III Faculty) in the Department of Civil Engineering at Parala Maharaja Engineering College, Berhampur, Odisha. Earlier he worked with Larsen and Toubro Limited, Chennai, as a Senior Civil Engineer for a period of three years (2010-2013). Anurag Sharma has been credited with 43 research papers in peer-reviewed journals with citations crossing over 500 and a h-index 11 (source: Google Scholar). He has also been credited with 5 book chapters and 17 conference papers presented at both national and international level. He achieved Prof. R.J. Garde Young Research Award by Indian society for Hydraulics (ISH). He also achieved International Travel Support (ITS) by Department of Science and Technology (DST) for presenting research paper in International conference held at XXXVI International School of Hydraulics, Jachranka, Poland. He was also invited at the International Young Scholar Forum organized and funded by Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. His main research interests include Hydraulics, Environment Fluid Mechanics, Sediment Transport, Turbulent Flow and Water Resource Engineering.
