BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Subhankar Paul is the Professor of the Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India. He did B.E and M.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Ph.D. in Biotechnology. He earlier served as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India, (2007-2020), and as a Visiting Scientist at the Natural Institute of Natural Sciences (NINS), Japan (2009). His research interest is Nanotechnology in Industrial Waste Valorization, Environmental Remediation, and Nanotechnology in Therapeutic Applications. He has executed a number of research projects from various external agencies including the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), and the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), India. He has served as a referee for a number of International journals of repute. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience. He has also published over 60 research articles in international journals of repute and authored several book chapters published by Elsevier and Springer. Prof. Paul also co-edited a book published by CRC Press. He also has multiple granted patents and several applications filed.
