OMC & MDD By Light Compaction, 5. Proctor’s Plasticity Needle Test, 6. Grain Size Analysis: Mechanical Sieve Analysis & Hydrometer Analysis, 7. California Bearing Ratio ( CBR) Test for Un Soaked CBR Test & Soaked CBR Test, 8. North Dakota Cone Test, 9. pH Value Of Soil, 10. Permeability Test by Constant Head Method & Variable Head Method, 11. Unconfined Compressive Strength, 12. Laboratory Vane Shear Test, 13. Free Swell Index, 14. Heavy Compaction Test
Course Objectives
- Students should know the testing of geotechnical materials independently in the laboratory and be prepared for industry readiness as well as pursuing further research in this field and specifically interpret the design issues
Course Outcomes
1. An ability to independently carry out research/ investigation on experimental work and to conduct independently soil testing. <br />2. An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document on soil testing. <br />3. Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area of soil testing.
