Exp. 1: Introduction to programming using MATLAB/ SCILAB
Exp. 2: Strassen’s matrix multiplication algorithm
Exp. 3: Solution to a system of linear equation using Gauss-Siedel method
Exp. 4: Solution to a system of linear equation using Conjugate Gradient method
Exp. 5: Implement solution to a linear regression fit using least square method
Exp. 6: Finding roots of a non-linear equation using Newton-Raphson method
Exp. 7: Numerical integration using quadrature method
Exp. 8: Solution to a system of ordinary differential equations using numerical method
Exp. 9: Lid driven cavity flow simulation using MATLAB
Exp. 10: Solution to unsteady peristaltic transport in parallel plate channel
Course Objectives
- To become familiar with various methods of computational modeling in bioengineering.
- To explore utility of computational tools such as MATLAB/ SCILAB.
- To learn the techniques of solving differentiation and integration numerically.
- To understand the purpose of computer simulations of relevance to bioengineering.
Course Outcomes
After the completion of the course, the students will be able to <br />CO1 Implement basic computational algorithms using MATLAB/ SCILAB <br />CO2 Describe utility of MATLAB/ SCILAB in computational analysis of a bioengineering problem <br />CO3 Apply techniques of numerical differentiation and solve ODE/PDE <br />CO4 Apply techniques of numerical integration and solve integral equations. <br />CO5 Explain the purpose of computer simulation in the field of bioengineering
