Syllabus
1. Recording the ECG signal and to analyze the Heart Rate Variability
2. Recording and analyzing of EMG signal
3. Introduction to microscopy: to learn the principle and use of compound light microscope
4. Measurement of pH of biological liquids with pH-meter
5. Introduction to Graphical User Interface based programming
6. Implementing simple mathematical and logical operations on medical signals
7. Understand the properties of the different loops for the acquisition of medical signals and designing medical devices
8. Understand the functioning and the characteristics of Operational amplifiers
9. Design of Inverting and Non-inverting amplifiers using OP-AMP
10. Integrator and Differentiator using OP-AMP
11. Design of Instrumentation amplifier
12. Design of low noise bio amplifiers
Course Objectives
- To know the basics of recording and acquisition of bio-signals.
- To know about the working of microscopes and its functions.
- To gain knowledge about the important electrical characteristics and operation of different analog IC’s.
Course Outcomes
After completing the course, the students will able to: <br />1. know about the basics of signal acquisition and processing methods applied in Bio-signals. <br />2. Know about the functioning and the characteristics of the Operational Amplifiers. <br />3. Design biomedical amplifiers for signal acquisition <br />4. Understand the mathematical and logical operations involved in bio-signals
