Subject {L-T-P / C} : EE2706 : Analog Electronics Laboratory { 0-0-2 / 1}

Syllabus

1. Verify the VI Characteristics of PN junction diode and Zener diode.
2. Design and study of Half-wave and Full-wave rectifier circuits.
3. Design the clipper and clamper circuits using PN junction diode.
4. Design the voltage multiplier circuit using Diodes, Resistances & Capacitors.
5. Study the input and output characteristics of a Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT).
6. Design and study of a single-stage RC coupled amplifier using BJT.
7. Study the operational amplifier (op-amp) and its applications.
8. Study the drain and transfer characteristics of a Junction Field Effect Transistor (JFET).
9. Design the following Multivibrators using 555 timer.
Monostable Multivibrator
Astable Multivibrator
10. Verify the frequency response of passive low pass and high pass filters.

Course Objectives

  • To enable the students to become familiar with the fundamental properties of semiconductor devices.
  • To provide knowledge on Analog Circuit Analysis and verification of data .
  • To empower students to understand the design and working of BJT / FET amplifiers, Oscillators and Operational Amplifiers and their applications.
  • To enable the students for acquiring knowledge on advanced courses in Communication systems and Circuit Design .

Course Outcomes

1. Acquire a basic knowledge in solid state electronics including diodes, MOSFET, BJT, and operational amplifier <br />2. Develop the ability to analyze and design analog electronic circuits using discrete components. <br />3. Observe the amplitude and frequency responses of common amplification circuits <br />4. Design, construction, and measurement of various analog circuits for IC applications.
