Syllabus
1. Study the characteristics of different microwave components.
2. Study the characteristics of the waveguide using the Reflex Klystron based microwave test bench.
3. To measure the fundamental frequency of a rectangular waveguide.
4. To Study V-I characteristics of Gunn Diode and determination of SWR and reflection coefficient using Gunn Oscillator based microwave test bench.
5. Measurement of S-parameter and input/output power in E-Plane and H-plane Tee.
6. Study of the Magic Tee.
7. Study of Circulator.
8. Study of Directional Coupler.
9. Measurement of the Radiation pattern of a Horn Antenna
10. Design and simulation of microstrip patch antenna using CST Microwave studio suite.
11. Design and simulation of microstrip patch antenna structure using HFSS .
Course Objectives
- Students will be able to study various Microwave components and measure their parameters using Klystron/Gunn Oscillator
