NIT Rourkela Ph.D . Scholar Receives Prestigious IEEE IAS Student Travel Award
NIT Rourkela proudly congratulates Mr. Sudhir Kumar Sahoo, Ph.D. Scholar from the Department of Electrical Engineering, for receiving the IEEE IAS Student Travel Award to participate in the IEEE 6th International Conference on Sustainable Energy and Future Electric Transportation (SeFeT 2026). The conference was organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, Maharashtra, from 8–11 July 2026.
Mr. Sahoo is pursuing his doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Anup Kumar Panda, Professor (HAG), Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Rourkela. He received the award in recognition of his outstanding research contribution and active participation in the international conference.
His research focuses on advanced power electronics, electric vehicle charging systems, renewable energy integration, and smart grid technologies. The work aims to develop efficient, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions that support the advancement of future electric transportation and modern power systems.
The IEEE IAS Student Travel Award is a significant recognition that encourages young researchers to present their work on international platforms and engage with leading experts in the field.
