ASME NIT Rourkela Student Section Excels at ASME EFx India 2026!
Congratulations to the NIT Rourkela student team from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) NIT Rourkela Student Section, which recorded an impressive performance at ASME EFx India 2026. ASME EFx is a dynamic engineering forum and competition that features events such as the e-Human Powered Vehicle Challenge (eHPVC), Innovative Additive Manufacturing 3D (IAM3D), and other technical challenges.
At the national-level event, ASME NIT Rourkela secured top positions across multiple categories:
- 1st Position – Design Event (eHPVC) | Prize: USD 500
- 3rd Position – IAM3D Challenge | Prize: USD 250
- 3rd Position – Oral Competition | Prize: USD 200
The Design Event (eHPVC) was won by Team Bluestreak 12.0, led by Captain Aaditya Sahoo with Vice Captain Komal Hitesh Gude. The IAM3D Challenge was secured by Team BluePrint 4.0, led by Captain Chittaranjan Behera and Vice Captain Nikhil Rajkiran Sahoo. In the Oral Competition, Mayukh Thakuria secured the third position for his articulate technical presentation. Special appreciation is extended to Soumya Mohanty, Pratyush Prateek Dash, and Gurudatta Sutar for their efforts in coordinating the team. The ASME Student Section functions under the Technical Society of the Student Activity Centre (SAC), NIT Rourkela, and participated in the event under the guidance of Faculty Advisor Dr. Suman Ghosh. The event was hosted at The LNM Institute of Information Technology (LNMIIT), Jaipur.
