NIT Rourkela secures an ‘Exemplary’ grade in Eat Right Campus Certification!
As part of the periodic certification process of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, NIT Rourkela has been recognised in the ‘Exemplary’ category under the ‘Eat Right Campus’ certification.
The initiative ensures adherence to high standards in food safety, hygiene, and nutrition, creating a healthier environment. It aligns with the national vision of encouraging responsible food consumption and well-being.
The program also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) by addressing nutrition and promoting wholesome food, SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through improved dietary practices and reduced food-borne and lifestyle diseases, SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by encouraging sustainable food systems and reduced waste, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through its collaborative approach involving institutions, regulators, and stakeholders.
