NIT Rourkela Partners with Tomsk State University, Russia.
The National Institute of Technology Rourkela has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tomsk State University, Russia, to expand academic, research, and pedagogical collaboration between the two institutions. The MoU was facilitated through the coordinated efforts of Dr Souvik Das and Prof. B. B. V. L. Deepak from the Department of Industrial Design.
Under the agreement, both institutions have agreed to develop and extend scientific and academic collaboration in the following areas:
- Exchange of faculty members and students at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Development of joint academic programs, including lifelong learning initiatives, specialised courses, and double-degree programs
- Pedagogical collaboration, including the exchange of information, documentation, and best practices related to educational methods and tools
- Development and implementation of joint research programs, along with the exchange of researchers
- Organisation of joint seminars, colloquia, and scientific workshops on areas of mutual academic interest
This collaboration is expected to enhance faculty interaction, promote cross-cultural academic exchange, and result in high-quality research outcomes, participation in leading international conferences, and meaningful technology and knowledge transfer with societal and industrial relevance.
