BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Tapas Das pursued his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering at NIT Rourkela in 2014, followed by M.Tech (2016) and Ph.D.(2022) at IIT (BHU) Varanasi. Then he gained research experience as a Post-doctoral scientist at Chonnam National University, South Korea. In 2023, he joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at NIT Rourkela. He has a keen interest and experience in developing novel composite materials for energy storage devices like supercapacitors, supercapatteries, and batteries. During his Post-doctoral research, he developed flexible devices useful for smart electronics. He has extended his research to convert biowastes into efficient energy storage materials, generation of Hydrogen by Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER), and development of Solar cells. Apart from all these, he is enthusiastic about finding practical solutions to real problems in energy storage and their environmental aspects. He welcomes anyone who wants to get research experience under his guidance.
