Abstract

Nonlinear elliptic partial differential equations is studied by the methods of functional analysis on Sobolev spaces. Elliptic partial differential equations have applications in various fields in science and engineering such as thermodynamics, soft thin films, aeronautics etc. This seminar focuses on discussing the existence of solutions for nonlinear p-Laplacian problem involving Hardy potential term in weak sense. Mainly Mountain pass theorem, Sobolev embedding, Hardy inequality are used to prove the existence of solutions.
