The goal of this workshop is to build capacities of researchers and programme managers on research methods, systematic collection of data for addressing gaps, develop and write detailed research proposals in the area of Public Health Nutrition, while also understanding the ethical issues involved in planning and conducting research studies. The workshop aims to develop capacities and knowledge of the participating researchers, NGOs/ CSOs and academicians to develop basic research methodology skills, especially in the area of public health and nutrition. Research methodology concepts, tools and skills are crucial for successful planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation of programmes/projects. This workshop would focus on the fundamentals of formulating research questions, data collection and analysis for both qualitative and quantitative research while addressing the real life situation in the present context of public health nutrition.
