Course Objectives

  • to introduce the concept of social exclusion- origin, meaning, constituent elements and characters
  • to familiarize the studies of social exclusion in India
  • to explore the various processes of social exclusion
  • to expose the concept and policies of social inclusion

Course Outcomes

After the completion of this course, students will be able to:

CO1: develop a better understanding of social exclusion
CO2: understand the main issues and themes concerning the social exclusion
CO3: critically assess unfair exclusion and inclusion and develop alternate strategies.
CO4: critically examine the policies of inclusive development
CO5: learn the emerging issues and challenges
