Subject {L-T-P / C} : PH6233 : Advanced X-rays Structure Analysis { 3-0-0 / 3}

Subject Nature : Theory

Syllabus

Module 1 :

Module-1 (5 hours)

Introduction to x-rays with reference to production & properties,

Module-2 (6 hours)

X-ray Diffraction & it's basics, x-ray crystallography,

Module-3 (12 hours)
Qualitative & Quantitative analysis of XRD data, Intensity of XRD pattern & various factors effecting it, XRD phase analysis, Application of XRD technique in crystallography including protein crystallography


Module-4 (8 hours)

Introduction to scattering relevant to Diffraction, Characterization of materials at Nano order scale length ( Nano materials such as Protein, cellulose etc.)

Module-5 ( 6hours)
Preliminary idea about different X-ray techniques for structure analysis, Limitations of Instrumentation , Introduction to Medical application of X-ray for different structure analysis.
