Module: 1 [10-classes]
|
Course Objective
| 1 . |
To Introduce the concept of different types of polarization phenomena in dielectric and magnetic materials. |
| 2 . |
To provide the theory of the phase transition phenomena in different ferroelectric systems. |
| 3 . |
To introduce the mechanism of existence of different ferroic order parameters and their coupling in multiferroic systems. |
| 4 . |
To develop the principles behind the different ferroelectric and multiferroic devices. |
Course Outcome
| 1 . |
Students will gain knowledge about the principles of different types of polarization and structural phase transitions phenomena in ferroelectric systems. The mechanism for combination of different ferroic order parameters for multiferroic device applications will also be developed. |
