Detection of elements (N, S, Halogens) in organic Compounds, Detection of functional groups: amine, amide, alcohol, phenol, nitro compounds, carboxylic acid, aldehyde, ketone, unsaturation, Monosaccarides etc., Derivative preparation (amide, acid, anilide, ester, picrate, hydrazone, semicarbazone, 2, 4-DNP, Osazone etc.), Crystallization of derivatives and characterization using melting point comparison. |
