Protozoa – General features, Amoeba, Flagellates, Malarial parasites, Ciliate Protozoa, Helminths – General features, Trematodes - Flukes, Cestodes - Tapeworms, Nematodes – Trichinella spiralis, Strongyloides, Hookworm, Pinworm, Roundworm, Filarial worms, Diagnostic methods in parasitology

Students will gain an understanding about the concept of parasitism and animal associations.

Students will list out the major types of protozoan parasites and their life cycles.

Students will discuss about the helminthic parasites.

Students will study the methods to identify parasites and to treat parasitic infections.
